Model Mugging of the Mid-West is a comprehensive full contact women's self-defense system designed for crime prevention, self-defense, personal safety, and personal empowerment.

Women learn how to protect themselves in various confrontational environments. Model mugging is unique in it's ability to simulate actual self defense scenarios due to the presence of a fully trained and padded 'mugger'. The realism of our training results in our students learning in an adrenalized state.

This is important because if a student ever finds herself in a threatening adrenalized street situation, she will find the self defense tools developed in her Model Mugging class ready and waiting. Our program trains the student when to engage in physical combat how to be successful in the fight and when to disengage .

Powerfull and repeated blows are applied fthrough practice to selected vulnerable areas of the male anatomy. Repeated training with the 'mugger' using these techniques builds confidence as well as competence. In addition our program involves exposure to elements of situational awareness, de-escalation techniques and strategies effective in the avoidance of phyisical confrontation.

Model Mugging seminars are taught in various formats designed to suit our student needs. Class lenghts usual vary from one to four days involving from 2 to 8 hours of instruction.

Instructor 'Mugger': Mr. Bill Frank is a 5th Degree Black Belt in AKKA Karate and a certified Model Mugging instructor. He has taught the Model Mugging Female Self Defense program around the U.S. and in the Kansas City area since 1990.
